Jan Pieter Drijfhout

Based in Rotterdam, he leads Sompo’s Financial Lines proposition across both countries, with responsibility for underwriting performance, broker and client engagement, and the continued development of the portfolio.

Mr Drijfhout joined Sompo in 2023 and previously served as Senior Underwriter for Financial Lines in Europe, based in Barcelona. He has more than 20 years of insurance industry experience, with expertise in financial lines underwriting, portfolio development and broker engagement.

His experience includes directors and officers liability, professional liability, crime, cyber and financial institutions business. Throughout his career, Mr Drijfhout has worked closely with corporate and financial institution clients across the Benelux region.
